Kilómetro 0, Guido Tassi

Suelo recomendar cosas para ver que están en inglés… pero esta vez no. Kilómetro 0, del cocinero argentino Guido Tassi, es un programa que sale por el Canal de la Ciudad y que busca, como Guido mismo dice en la presentación, “que la distancia entre la naturaleza y el plato terminado sea cada vez más corta”. Por eso, se propone cocinar a menos de 100 kilómetros de donde se produce la materia prima para sus recetas. Y, de paso, nos lleva a recorrer Argentina.

I usually recommend English-speaking things to watch… not this time. Kilómetro 0 [Kilometer 0], by Argentine chef Guido Tassi, is a show broadcast by the City Channel and that aims to – in Guido’s own words during the presentation – “make the distance between nature and the finished dish increasingly shorter.” That’s why he sets out to cook less than 100 kilometers away from where his recipes’ raw materials are grown/made. And he takes us all around Argentina, while he’s at it.
